1. What Turkey Direct is
Turkey Direct (the "Service") is an online directory operated by QLG Media Ltd, a UK-registered company. We connect holiday guests with independent villa owners. We are not the accommodation provider. Your contract when you book a villa is directly with the owner, not with us.
2. What we do and don't do
We verify the owner's identity and bank account via Stripe before a listing goes live. We do notverify property condition, availability, cleanliness or the accuracy of descriptions. These remain the owner's responsibility.
We facilitate the initial payment (deposit) via Stripe on behalf of the owner. The money goes directly to the owner's Stripe account — Turkey Direct never holds it.
3. Booking a villa (guests)
- Your enquiry creates a non-binding conversation. A booking is only formed once you have paid a deposit.
- Payment of the deposit constitutes a contract with the owner, not with Turkey Direct.
- Balance is due on the date set by the owner (typically 8 weeks before arrival). Failure to pay may result in cancellation under the owner's terms.
- Cancellation terms are set by the individual owner; read them before you pay.
4. Listing a villa (owners)
- You warrant that you are the legal owner (or authorised agent) of the property you list and have the right to let it.
- You agree that your content (photos, descriptions, pricing) is accurate and non-misleading.
- Commission-plan owners must route all deposit payments through Stripe Connect. Bypassing the platform to avoid the commission is a breach of these terms and will result in listing suspension.
- Subscription-plan owners may receive bookings off-platform.
5. Fees
- Guests pay no fees to Turkey Direct. You pay the villa price and the deposit direct to the owner.
- Subscription-plan owners pay an annual fee (currently £249/year).
- Commission-plan owners have a platform fee deducted from each booking payment at Stripe checkout (currently 7% of the guest total).
- Stripe charges its own card-processing fee which is deducted separately. Stripe's fees are set by Stripe and are not set by Turkey Direct.
6. Liability
Turkey Direct's liability is limited to the fees we have received from you (nothing, if you are a guest). We are not liable for the owner's performance of their rental obligations, the condition or suitability of the property, or consequential losses arising from your stay.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.
7. Disputes
For payment disputes, Stripe's dispute process applies — initiate a chargeback through your card issuer or bank.
For non-payment disputes (e.g. property not as described), you'll need to resolve directly with the owner. We'll help where we can but we're not a regulated booking agent under UK Package Travel Regulations.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by English law. The courts of England have exclusive jurisdiction.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. Changes take effect when published. Material changes to booking/payment terms won't affect bookings already made.
