The owner lent me a board when my travel case got lost. He let me store my gear in his garage. Saint of a man. Villa is comfortable and close to the beach.

About the villa
A three-bedroom villa on a quiet lane five minutes from Alaçatı's famous windsurfing bay. Sleeps six in two kings and a twin, all en-suite and air-conditioned. Garage and purpose-built gear storage included. Private 8 × 4m pool with a large sun deck, covered pergola for shaded dining, and a professional gas BBQ. A converted garage doubles as a wetsuit rinse area with a hot outdoor shower and a drying rail — unusual in the area and the reason serious windsurfers love it here. Small walled garden with olive trees. Inside: open-plan ground floor with a generous sofa and a smart TV (Netflix, Prime). Kitchen fitted with gas hob, oven, American fridge-freezer, dishwasher, and coffee machine. A chest freezer full of ice packs (bruises come with the territory). Spare bedroom contains a small library of windsurfing gear available to borrow — boards, rigs, wetsuits — ask when booking. Additional features: fast WiFi, ceiling fans, washer/dryer, hairdryers, beach and beach-bag towels. Stand-up paddleboard for guest use (leash and pump included). Two-car garage plus street parking. Great for active guests; works equally well if only one of the party windsurfs.
The local area
Alaçatı windsurf bay is 6 minutes by car — consistent thermal winds May to October. Çeşme old town and its Genoese castle are 15 minutes by car. Daily ferry to Chios (Greek island) departs from Çeşme port. Izmir airport is 60 minutes.

Not a surfer, still loved it
I don't windsurf. Came as a couple with a surfer husband. Alaçatı is gorgeous, the villa is comfortable, the pool was a life-saver.

Great host, very sporty villa
Gear everywhere, sandy footprints, exactly what you want if you're here to windsurf. If you want a 'boutique retreat' book somewhere else.
