Brilliant
The owner's villa is a really good, unpretentious, proper-holiday villa. The beer in the fridge was a lovely touch. The cove itself is tiny and perfect.

About the villa
A friendly three-bedroom villa on the hillside above Turunç cove, a seven-minute walk down to the beach. Sleeps six in two doubles and a twin, with a family bathroom and an additional shower room. A good-sized 9 × 4m private pool with a built-in sun shelf for children, and a large terrace with sun loungers, a dining pergola and a gas BBQ. Walled garden planted with oleander and citrus. Views across Turunç cove from the upper terrace. The villa is a casual family layout — no carpets, no white sofas, nothing precious. Open-plan living/dining with smart TV and a generous sofa. Kitchen is fully equipped (gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, full-size fridge-freezer, kettle, toaster, espresso machine). A well-stocked bookshelf (mostly thrillers and cookbooks); an atlas on the coffee table. Additional features: WiFi, air-conditioning in every bedroom, ceiling fans in living areas, washing machine, hairdryers, beach towels. A fridge of local beer and water waiting on arrival (on the owner). Off-street parking for two cars. Unpretentious — a proper holiday villa, not a boutique stay.
The local area
Turunç is a horseshoe cove of pebbles with a handful of tavernas along the beachfront. Water taxis run all day to Marmaris (25 minutes). The family-run restaurant at the north end of the beach (Ali's) is the local pick. Dalaman airport is 90 minutes.
