Like a really good hotel stay, but a villa
Every little detail thought through. The bathrobes, the proper wine glasses, the local map with Fiona's pub recommendations. I didn't want to leave.

About the villa
A thoughtfully styled two-bedroom villa on a quiet street behind İçmeler, a ten-minute walk from the palm-lined seafront. Sleeps four (or a couple plus older child) in one king and one twin bedroom, both with en-suite. A private 5-metre plunge pool in a walled Mediterranean garden — planted with bougainvillea, jasmine and oleander. Covered dining pergola, gas BBQ, daybed, and a small outdoor kitchen with bar fridge. Two terraces: one for sun, one always shaded. Inside: tile floors, white walls, linen sofa, air-conditioning in every room. Kitchen is small but well-equipped (gas hob, oven, espresso machine, dishwasher). Every detail considered — proper wine glasses, Nespresso machine, decent kettle, even a set of linen robes and a basket of travel-sized toiletries. Other features: fast WiFi, Sonos system, smart TV with streaming, washer/dryer, good hairdryers in both bathrooms, beach towels. The owner left a laminated map with her pick of local restaurants. Parking for one car on-site. Intentionally compact — two-bedroom layout, no more.
The local area
Ten-minute walk to İçmeler's palm-lined seafront and beach promenade. The water taxi along the coast to Marmaris takes 25 minutes and is the nicest way to travel. The beachfront restaurants at the south end of the promenade are the picks. Dalaman airport is 90 minutes.
